Matt Everhart & Co.

Matt Everhart & Company – Matthew Everhart is a performing bassist and professor of music for Carroll Community College. His active playing career began in the late 1990’s in the southeast while he studied music at Appalachian State University and in the midwest at Indiana University. He has performed all over the country in a multitude of styles with acts ranging from 1960’s R&B groups (Platters, Crystals, Drifters, Tokens) to renowned Jazz fusion guitarist Carl Filipiak. He’s a founding member of Baltimore/DC group Speakers of the House who have performed extensively in the area, including multiple times at the request of Governor Hogan. In 2013 he was brought on as a bass instructor for the Carroll Community College arts and music department. Since then he has expanded to teaching Rock History and running some of the departments’ most popular ensembles. He’s known for his ability to adapt across a wide breadth of musical genres and the intensity he brings to the stage.
